Round 4

8 Blue

Congratulations to our boys on their second win of the year. The final score was Bangor 3/130 beat Como/Jannali 8/83. They all played extremely well and their ability and confidence is increasing all the time.

In a game where runs were hard to come by at times Jackson, Patrick, Harrison and Ryan all reached double figures off the bat. Patrick's consistent batting every week saw him receive the batting award for the match. The wickets were shared around with Bailey leading the wicket taking with 2/16. He received the bowling award for his effort. Jackson, Patrick, Riley, Ryan and Harrison also took 1 wicket each and Harrison got a run out which saw him receive an award as well. Braydon, Reuben and Liam all bowled extremely well without luck and were very keen fielders throughout the match.

Round 3

8 Blue

It was great to see the 8 Blues chalk up their first win against Gymea on the weekend. The wonderful bowling attack led by Reuben 3/4 and Riley 3/9 was backed up with wickets to Jackson, Bailey and Ryan as well. Both Reuben and Riley received the bowling awards this week.

Patrick and Harrison were great with the bat, putting together a 54 run partnership which was an amazing achievement in their 6 overs. Liam's batting continues to improve each week and this week he picked up the batting award.

Braydon was very enthusiastic in the field and for one of our smaller players does a wonderful job.

Keep up the great work boys and hopefully we can get another win next game.

Round 2

8 Blue

Even though we lost 16/78 to 5/99 there was a vast improvement in our boys bowling this match. Reuben led the way with 3/14 and Ryan and Braydon also took wickets. Patrick and Harrison batted extremely well and Harrison picked up the batting award (I should have it by training this week). Bailey and Jackson showed that the hard work from bowling at training can pay off and they both received bowling awards for their improvement. Riley and Liam were very enthusiastic in the field and helped to keep the oppositions run score down.

Great work boys and I'm sure that a win is just around the corner. The team that we played have all played before so we did a good job trying to contain them.

Round 1

The boys were unlucky in their first game just losing to Caringbah 6/101 to 8/93 buthad a lot of fun.

Patrick, Harrison and Bailey picked up 1 wicket each and Braydon got 2/15 earning him the bowling award for this game.

Jackson, Reuben, Patrick, Liam, Harrison and Ryan all reached double figures in batting with Ryan receiving the batting award with a score of 17 runs off the bat.

Riley was extremely enthusiastic as wicket keeper and in the field.

Patrick received the man of the match award with a great performance with both the bat and the ball.

Keep up the good work boys.
